• BSR Detection: Reads publicly visible data from Amazon pages you visit
• Calculations: Performed entirely in your browser
• Metadata Extraction: Only when you explicitly request it (right-click menu)
• No Tracking: We don't track your browsing history or book searches

3. Information You Provide

We only collect information you voluntarily provide:

• Contact Forms: Name, email, subject, and the message you choose to submit
• Author Services enquiries: Chosen service, name, email, brief book details, and optional notes, used to review and reply to a quotation request. Do not paste KDP credentials, full manuscripts, or confidential account documents into the initial text fields. Where private file requests are available, uploaded materials are handled by the designated upload provider.
• Feedback: Comments or suggestions you submit
• Tool Inputs: Data you enter into our calculators (processed client-side, not stored)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our services
• Improve our website and tools based on usage patterns
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Review Author Services briefs and prepare requested quotes or follow-up questions
• Send occasional updates (only if you opt-in)

Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously:

• Encryption: All data transmitted to our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Author Services requests: Requests for quotation are sent to our team through Resend. For fixed-price orders, we temporarily store the form details privately before Stripe payment; the service order is confirmed to our team only after payment succeeds. Email providers and receiving mailboxes retain delivered messages under their own settings. Request access or deletion at privacy@bookbloom.io.
• Sensitive materials: Author Services forms may include optional manuscripts and supporting documents. These files are transferred directly to BookBloom's private Vercel Blob store, including before payment for fixed-price services. If you abandon checkout, temporary order details and uploaded files can remain until our data-cleanup process removes them. You may ask us to delete them through privacy@bookbloom.io. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or card credentials.
• Local Processing: Tool calculations happen in your browser, not on our servers

Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

• Hosting: Vercel (for website hosting)
• Analytics: Privacy-focused analytics tools (anonymized data only)
• AI Services: Anthropic Claude (for keyword generation - no personal data sent)
• Payment Processing: Stripe (for optional donations and eligible Author Services payments; payment information is processed by Stripe)
• Email delivery: Resend processes contact details and service briefs to notify our team and acknowledge the customer.
• Optional manuscript uploads: Vercel Private Blob stores private author materials for quotation or fulfillment. Uploaded file references are matched manually to the enquiry and are not made publicly accessible.
• Affiliate Program: Amazon Associates (we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases through affiliate links)

These services have their own privacy policies. We carefully select partners who respect user privacy.

Payment Information

BookBloom offers optional donation features to support our free tools:

• Payment Processor: We use Stripe for secure payment processing
• No Storage: We do NOT store your credit card information on our servers
• Stripe Privacy: All payment data is handled directly by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS standards
• Transaction Data: We may receive basic transaction information (amount, date, success/failure status) but never your full payment details
• Voluntary: All donations are completely optional - our tools remain free forever
